Shhhhush

just-as-a-5be5b3

He, immovable boulder,

His tarantula like fingers in my hair,

He stood in my kitchen statuesque, serene or burning,

His love was honey,

Cloying nectar rendering immobility,

I couldn’t avert my gaze for all of infinity,

While running away, over my shoulder I sought him,

Protector, in rough and gentle ways I fought him,

There is no love like the love we give with a broken heart,

I restored myself unto him and he kept me from falling apart,

Scarlet snake slither and to the Earth return,

Scales fall from eyelids, dizzy violins, Heaven burns

Judge Not

expanding-universe

Bathed in cobalt moonlight, I drive to your window,

The light’s off, nobody’s home,

Maybe you’re there, wrapped in velvet gray, on the cool wooden slabs, forehead telling stories of your perceived failures,

Better to keep driving, nobody’s home,

Who was the firecracker who burned so brightly in the sunshine of your youth?

Now, the days are both a flash and wearily long,

You walk down the corridors of the past as if you are seeking permanent residence,

Where will you make your home?

These are the questions you dare not ask,

Allow me to inquire into your fog,

I will appreciate the haziness with fervor of sloth,

By December none of this will have mattered,

If it ever really mattered at all,

I played with fire and danced in the rain the same place she wept for your gaze,

I see the star you shared and I see it’s decay,

You are the grim reaper who breaks his own heart time and time again,

Fear your only constant lesson,

I will not write you love songs or poems, I will only write that I hope in time you will love you,

Sun charged stones lining paths of healing and truth,

May you find space to rest your fins, furrowless brow,

Third eye kissed, limerance, holy tryst, take my bow

Ophedian’s Osculation

It’s coming for us (x3)

All

Tick tock death’s metronome,

Sickle re-directing infinite cyclical unknown,

What’s the point of this waiting room, are we a cosmic joke?

Some of us choose blindness, others from fevered dreams now awoke,

Wars, genocide, famine, orphans, murder in cold blood, murder in a fire of fury,

Scarcity, insects, rapist’s secrets buried,

It’s coming for us (x3)

All

So I will cultivate wonder until I’m called home,

Faithful pilgrim, defiled hands and joy filling the marrow of my bones,

If there is a shadow there too must always be light,

“Surely you will not perish,” open up and take a bite.

NaPoWriMo Day 18: Revision

trust_by_destinyblue-d9i2oht

Don’t lose your confidence

Never confusing certainty with circumstance
Never distrust Providence

Allow yourself to rest and dance
Remove your ignorance

Open your eyes, devour the glance
Accumulate tolerance

Open your heart to time and chance

Patience is a must

Waiting is virtuous
Your mind, you dust

Interally reinvent combust
Body mustn’t rust

Alive with touch
Always be honest

Keep your promise

Hopefully you live

Engage and give
In God, ever believe

Higher power receive
The best, you give

Utmost forgive
Better to forgive

Holy remnants sieve

Choose the right path

Follow the map
To toil, take an oath

Work hard, promise and go
God and hope, trust both

Let unfocused become focus and propel your boat
Don’t die like a brittle moth

A shell, in the end, be, do not

God-faith helps thrive

Sustained and survive
As He makes us survive

We can trust at all times
Our belief, He does revive

Awakened we reside
He helps peace to be alive

Trust, a wellspring inside

Take efforts and await

Trust in plans great
After showing your might

Trust everything will be alright
Being happy is right

Stars shine in night sky
As joy, you can sight

Sun and stars both emit light

True efforts never die

Nothing good is wasted in time
They appeal to the Sky

Answers come from you and I
God keeps His eye

Fixed on flight
Upon those who try

So trust the current and take a dive

Good luck my dear

I wish you more joy than tears
Pursue without fear

Your dreams so dear
If hard-work is here

Enjoy future cheer
No place for tear

It is time for friends, hugs and beer

Drawn and Quartered, You cut the rope,

Now I take cautious steps toward hope,

I hope to be brave, I hope to keep curious,

Puzzle pieces connecting to beauty so endless,

Constellations of events lie behind and ahead of me,

But I will never forget what you said to me,

“Connect, it’s not hard, embrace the O/other and be embraced,

You have the right to ask questions, It’s going to be okay,

You’re not alone, me too,

When everything is fakakta nourish yourself and others with good food.”

Day 30: NaPoWriMo (Things That Happen Again and Again)

http://www.sacworldaidsday.org/candle-light-vigil.html

Sun sets, moon rises,

New day, new lives begin,

To seek peace, there must be war,

There will always be rich, there will always be poor,

Those who celebrate and those who mourn,

Those with strength and those meek,

Those righteous hungry and thirsting,

The O/other, the same,

A line, a lie, a name,

The truth is a circle and we sit around the bonfire and sing,

We raise our voices to nothing and it’s everything,

Nothing is everything,

We will be free,

When we can see,

The line between you and me,

Arbitrary,

Blessed are the ignorant,

Blessed be the skeptic,

For theirs is the kin-dom of heaven.

Day 29 NaPoWriMo: Specific Noun From Favorite Poem: Flower

IMG_1573

http://sproutgrowers.com/StoriesArticles/SA.htm

Like humans, flowers gestate in the dark,

Each fed by time, water and sunlight spark,

A flower can be wild, can be a weed,

Can overtake expansive space, starting out as small seed,

The line between admiration and envy,

A comma, so common, yet breathtaking, begin and ending.

Read one of my favorite poems whose specific noun, flower, inspired my poem:

“When Death Comes” by Mary Oliver:
